A Yoga Studio Or A Shelter For Cats? Either Way, Its A Win

Yoga and cats are synonymous for their soul soothing benefits and this heartwarming story of how the two have merged beautifully will prove just that.

There was no telling what a merger like this would bring about. But, when Homeward Bound, a no-kill pet shelter in Illinois teamed up with a local studio, Yoga at Connie’s, to host a special class featuring adoptable adult cats, the opportunities were endless.

Students were encouraged to practice their poses and mingle freely with the felines, all in hopes of finding them and others the forever homes they deserve.

The result was something that was bigger and better than anyone had imagined. It even went viral.

“I love cats, so obviously it was going to be great,” yoga teacher Connie Pease told The Dodo. “It was an opportunity for people who like cats to help the shelter.”
